Verto Android Demo is a simple implementation of FreeSWITCH Verto signaling protocol for Android OS based smartphones.
Verto Android Demo allows you to make Video and audio calls to test drive your FreeSWITCH Verto installation.
FreeSWITCH is a free and open source application server for real-time communication, WebRTC, telecommunications, Video and Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP).
Multiplatform, it runs on Linux, Windows, MacOS and FreeBSD.
You can get one here: https: //freeswitch.org/.
To properly install and configure your FreeSWITCH server for Verto support please follow official guide at: https: //freeswitch.org/confluence/display/FREESWITCH/mod_verto.
Please note that mod_verto is rapidly developing, so make sure to use latest available version.
Verto Android Demo uses native Android API, native Android WebRTC libraries and own unofficial Java port of FreeSWITCH's bundled JavaScript Verto protocol implementation library.
Verto Android Demo development is not related in any way to FreeSWITCH team.
All encountered application errors, unsatisfactory experience, are sole responsibility of Verto Android Demo author.
Your suggestions are very welcome: [email protected].
Disclaimer: It is strongly discouraged from using Verto Android Demo for calling any type of Emergency Services ("911", "112" and such).
IF YOU NEED TO DIAL EMERGENCY SERVICES (ES) WITH A MOBILE DEVICE (LIKE A SMARTPHONE, COMPUTER OR TABLET) YOU SHOULD ALWAYS USE YOUR CELLULAR NETWORK AND NEVER USE Verto Android Demo.
Unless you are using Your cellular network, if You call ES to an ES-enabled Operator Your mobile Softphone will only provide the Registered Location to the ES Operator regardless of Your actual location so if you are using a mobile Softphone in a location other than its Registered Location or while in motion (e.g.
driving or walking), ES service will provide inaccurate information to the ES Operator so you must provide your actual location to the ES Operator.
