Soil Resource mapping at series level was carried out by the Department of Remote Sensing and GIS, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu for whole of the state.
Detailed profile studies were carried out with analysis of the soil, for its physical, physio-chemical and Hydrological properties differentiating into soil series.
