You can do it using our Android online emulator.
This app consists of two modules providing simple and compact demonstrations of the effect of the earth's gravity.
The buttons and details displayed on the screen are self-explanatory in both modules.
The first module demonstrates shows how the speed at which a satellite (represented as a yellow dot) orbiting the earth changes depending on the distance between the two.
The two tiny, opposing red dots serve for a better visual comparison of the satellite's speed of revolution with the earth's speed of rotation.
At a certain distance, the satellite's orbit becomes geostationary, this being indicated acoustically as well as visually by a solid line between the satellite and the earth.
The second module shows how the path taken by a projectile such as a cannonball (represented as a yellow dot) depends on the height and angle of the cannon (represented by a black bar) as well as the launching speed.
The paths taken by the projectile can be traced subsequently for a more detailed visual analysis.
The launching height, angle and speed set by the user are indicated below the x-axis.
Also indicated here are real-time parameters while the cannonball travels.
