The NUS career+ is a mobile application jointly designed and developed by the National University of Singapore (NUS) and JobTech Private Limited.
The team behind the applications development consists of 8 NUS alumni from different cohorts and faculties and was guided by the head of NUS School of Computing.
The mobile application will advise students and alumni on their education and career planning by providing real-time data insights from the Singapore job market.
In addition, job opportunities will also be recommended based on the students or alumnus skills profile.
The NUS career+ makes use of Big Data and Natural Language Processing technologies from JobTech to provide real-time analysis of the skills demand in the job market, so both students and alumni can be empowered with useful information for their education and career planning.
By logging in to career+ with NUS email, students and alumni will get access to information such as their personalised skills profile.
The career+ skills profile enables users to track their skills acquisition journey by automatically consolidating skills learned from past academic modules or job experience.
With this profile, users are guided to their career goals through the apps recommendations.
For alumni, users can select a career goal and the app helps to create a personalised learning and career pathway to reach that goal.
For students, users will be recommended modules to help patch up the skills gap in order to land their first job in their desired career domain.
