There are so many disasters which are by nature, nonnature, and even social disaster make us increase our cautious.
Perviously, emergency can be reported by calling 911 (or 112 in indonesia) command centers.
Emergency reporting being developed by many researchers that implementing panic button to acquire less time.
In Kabarin, we developing an emergency management app which pinpoint victim location using network-based or GPS, and also measure distance from helper and victim with the help of Google Distance Matrix, so every available possible helper nearby will receive notification and can directly get realtime information about the victim conditions.
Emergency report can be done with 3 ways: with a button inside the app, power button (press 4x within 4 second), and voice command (can be done even when the smartphone is locked).

this application may need read contact permission (if you allow in setting).
that feature just for indexing which one of your contact list has installed this app too, and save it as 'related user'.
this application does NOT save your contact list number.
2.
this application may need record audio, but it just need capture loud sound above ceraint decibel (see setting).
this feature may running in background, and NOT saving any microphone input.
this application use your build in speech recognition to voice command the application.
3.
if you're not sure to use this feature, you may not change your preference in setting.
