The CALIMA App transforms the standard smartphone into a personal distress signal (PDS) device with which employees can call for immediate help in case of an emergency.
HOW IS AN ALARM TRIGGERED?
Manual trigger via app, widget, and hardware button
Automatic trigger in the event of a fall and immobility
Automatic trigger through an alarm timer (dead man's switch)
WHAT HAPPENS IF AN ALARM IS TRIGGERED?
As soon as an alarm has been triggered, the defined emergency contacts will receive a call and a text message or an email with the emergency message and a link.
All relevant emergency information can be viewed using the web browser.
WHAT DO I HAVE TO PAY ATTENTION TO DURING USE?
To provide best protection, the following requirements must be met:
App must be open in the background
Functioning smartphone with sufficiently charged battery
Connection to the Internet (via mobile or WLAN)

Perfect protection in case of danger (e.g.
medical emergency, fall or threat)
GDPR (DSGVO) compliant, as the data is stored in Germany
Meets DGUV requirements, as developed according to rule 112-139
