Khoironi Hadi, M.Ed, who was the head of MAN Temanggung when the Library NPP was submitted to the National Library.
According to him, Gibraltar is an area whose original name was Jabal Thoriq when Thoriq bin Ziyad visited the area.
Because of the karomah and positive energy of Thoriq bin Ziyad, the area or village that was passed seemed like there was a magical power so that many residents embraced Islam.
So Gibraltar was declared as the name of the library with hopes and prayers to have positive energy and magnetic power for anyone to flock to the library, so that their knowledge and knowledge will be enlightened.
The Gibraltar library serves 1300 MAN Temanggung students as well as 105 teachers and employees.
The library building is built on an area of 288m2.
The Gibraltar Library is trying to develop into a digital library by maximizing the circulation of books, references, multimedia and inter-loan libraries in collaboration with the Temanggung library.
So, we proposed cooperation with Kubuku to support this development effort.
