GSB has been entrusted with the responsibilities of investigation and exploration of mineral resources, geological mapping and geological investigation in connection with various civil engineering constructions, water resources management, geophysical investigation and various sorts of land use mapping, geo-environmental research, environmental hazards study, urban and engineering geological mapping etc.
