The Meter replacement functionalities that are relevant to MPPKVVCL requirements, hardware and software architecture, integration design and recommended business process with MDM product.
Meter replacement module is a part of the MDM product that has required functions to support needs of an enterprise meter data management system.
Till date MPPKVVCL field team used to collect/provide meter replacement related data manually of which no digital record was kept.
Due to manual intervention, chances of error in entry were high.
In order to eliminate human error and to expedite the process meter replacement mobile application usage is introduced using which field team can directly make entries in application resulting in accurate digital records.
All the entries (IVRS no/Old meter serial no) made by field team are searched in the existing customer database first.
If entry is already part of existing database related data gets reflected to field team on mobile application where user (field team) can update additional information (if required).
If consumer number is not present in existing database, new service connection is created by application user in which relevant/required information is captured.
