Description:

You can do it using our Android online emulator.
Yukon Emergency Medical Services (Yukon EMS) Field Guide is the first of several projects designed and produced to connect the public, Yukon EMS Paramedics and Flight Nurses to critical information so that they can provide their community with the highest level of pre-hospital care possible during complex medical emergencies.
Restart a heart with our public portal section! Every year in Canada, there are 35,000 cardiac arrests that occur, and less than 10% of people who have an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest survive.
When an automated external defibrillator (AED) and CPR are used, survival is doubled.
This section of the application requires zero registration and allows public users within Whitehorse to access an interactive map with markers to life-saving equipment, as well as referenced up-to-date CPR guidelines available to everyone.
Additionally, the public user can access information about our organization and pre-hospital services available within Yukon communities.
Registered users within the Yukon EMS system will have access to all of our services guiding documentations such as Standard Operating Procedures, Pharmacology Protocols, Medical Directives, and other critical pre-hospital resources on their personal or service-issued mobile devices.
(Phone or Tablet)
From Emergency Medical Responders to Critical Care Paramedics and Flight Nurses, our Field Guide application includes customized content depending on their competency level.

- Provide feedback to staff regarding procedures and medical guidelines that require revision for optimal patient care;
- A dedicated section to publicly appreciate and provide co-workers with the recognition they deserve.
- New Staff portal provides mental health articles, local event information & services available to them so that their segue to Yukon EMS culture is as smooth as possible!
- Edit your profile, or delete your account and all of its attached information directly from the application through the profile settings.
- Receive notifications and stay up-to-date with weekly operational news and updates provided by our Deputy Chiefs through our Newsfeed page.
- Reward system to help users orientate and feel more engaged when using the Field Guide for the first time.
- Pre-hospital medicine changes on a regular basis, the forced update feature ensures that our paramedics and nurses provide our community with the most up-to-date treatments possible during medical emergencies.
