In 2003, Fr.Prasad Ignatius renovated the church and constructed a grotto to Our Lady of Lourdes.
Now this parish has 270 families.
A separate chapel, Annai Velankanni church - Kovilpadhagai was also built in the neighbourhood of the church.
The present parish priest is Rev.Fr.
Raymond Peter.
