Given that he is the founder of the major schools of jurisprudence which are adhered to by the majority of Indonesian Muslims, often some of the students of the Koran who are new to the existence of Al Umm, seem to demand that all religious practices and Islamic laws practiced by people who claim to be adherents of the Shafi'i school must sourced from the book Al Umm.
In fact, in learning practice, -especially Al Umm-, even the books of the Imam's students are not routine readings or dictates in the recitation curriculum of kyai and santri.
So when the ustadz and kyai who adhere to the Shafi'i school of thought and are used to answering all the problems of the people from the sources of the Shafi'iyyah book are asked whether it is true that Imam Syafi'i, the founder of the school of thought, said that? Is there an editorial in the book Al Umm ?, and some questions that are similar, of course it will be difficult to give an answer.
The difficulty is not really a difficulty.
