Stringer-App is a mobile application that provides designers / construction crews mobileaccess to conductor sag and tension tables.
The app eliminates the need to keep up with paper sag tables and automatically performs linear interpolation between rulings spans and temperatures.
The premise for the app is that designers / engineers calculate clearances, pole loading, and guy loading based on data published in sag and tension tables.On the construction side, line crews should use these same sag tables to install the conductors.
Otherwise, the structures may not perform as designed (i.e., structures may not meet clearances requirements or loads (wire tension) may exceed the allowable strength rating of the material).
