Ondiflo Background Services is an B2B app used by companies for Field Service work (such as water hauling in the oil drilling industry) in the Oil Drilling Industry.
This app works in conjunction with the OndifloFieldServices app and is used to communicate with the Ondiflo online.
Truck Drivers are assigned Jobs driving to pickup and delivery locations by Dispatchers using a companion web app.
The location of the drivers as they work on the Jobs is critical information needed by the Dispatchers.
The webapp displays the location of the drivers and computes the precise time they arrive and leave the job locations.
As the Drivers drive to/from the job sites, the Dispatchers can view their location on the web app, so that the job completion time can be estimated.
The arrival and departure time from the site is computed (using a predefined radius around the lat / long of the job sites), and forms critical part of the Job completion log.
This app needs Full Location access (including FINE_DETAIL) to ensure that the dispatchers can see the driver location for each Job.
No data is retained for the driver other than their location while they are on their shift and working on a Job.
