Newslook is a local citizen reporting mobile application platform.
This app aims to revolutionize the way local news is captured, viewed, and spread.
How to use Newslook?
The user has to first open a personal profile in a similar way as any other social media platform.
The user can then view all news content posted by citizens, within the city, on the newsfeed screen.
On this screen, the user can react on the content through emoticons, and can interact by commenting.
The user can also share the content on other social media and messaging platforms.
The news content that attracts highest interaction and reaction in the city becomes trending in that city.
There is a different screen on the app that shows all trending news content.
In case the user witnesses any local issue in social, civic, environment, public welfare, animal rights, and political area, and feels like this content needs wider citizen viewing to create awareness, they can simply click on the camera button on the app, record the story live, enter a relevant description and click on post.
This content is then seen by others living in the city, on their newsfeed.
