Each player begins with a set number of tiles and takes turns laying them down, with the first player starting with the highest double tile (a tile with the same number of dots on each end).
If a player cannot make a play, they must draw a tile from the remaining pool of tiles and continue play.
Points are awarded for the number of tiles remaining in each player's hand at the end of the game, with the player with the lowest score winning.
Variations of the game include "block" and "draw" dominoes, which have different rules and strategies.
