Rusuban Cam uses a smartphone, not a specialized camera, for capturing.
This means you can make good use of old unused smarphones and tablets in the living room.

Requirements – preparation before use

- Smartphones

* At least 2 smartphones are required; one for capturing, another for viewing.

* All smartphones need an access to the internet.

* The platform of the devices used for viewing and capturing can be a mix of Android and iOS (iPhone and iPad).

For example, an iPhone can be used as a viewing device while the capturing device is an Android.

-Supported environment

Android 2.3 or later

* Also available in iOS (iPhone and iPad) at App Store.

* Some devices may not be able to run in capture mode for a long period of time.

* Devices not recommended for running in capture mode (List is updated as more troublesome devices are found.
Reason is described in parenthesis.)

Rusuban Cam can be used free of charge for 7 days from start of capture mode.

 - Caution

Note the following when using Rusuban Cam.

 + The device used in capture mode for a long period of time may overheat.
When the device alerts a temperature problem, follow directions on the screen or user’s manual to avoid possible burn, injury, fire or device breakdown.

 + All or part of the service may be stopped due to the overheat prevention functionality of the device.
