This smartphone app allows a user to detect pesticide in fruits or vegetables.
The essence of this system is a ready made and ready-to-use paper device which consists two circular test zones one reference and other sample - loaded with reagents.
During analysis, a user extracts pesticide from the sample with extracting solvents and loads the extract in the test zone followed by addition of other reagents.
After certain time of reaction, a yellow coloration appears on the device.
An image is then captured using the smartphone.
It is then opened with this app or an image can be directly captured with this app.
This app then processes the image and gives the result in a user-friendly format.
The results appear as safe, quarantine (please change), and unsafe.
