The term ashtakam (Sanskrit: ), also written as astakam, is derived from the Sanskrit word ashta, meaning "eight".

Originally these eight stanza poems were composed in glorification of the Supreme Lord of the universe, Sri Krishna & His enchanting activities.
In many places in India, these ashtakams are recited daily.
These ashtakams are very purifying & surely will lead to eternity, knowledge and bliss.
The astakams in this app are sung by Ananta Nitai Das, a disciple of His Holiness Radhanath swami.
