The Happy Grocer app will enable the shopper to find savings by comparing prices & costs between grocery stores.
The shopper will first accrue a list of items through various means (inventory of items at the house, uploading recipes, spontaneous items, etc.).
Once the list is made, the app will use said list to compare the prices between the grocery stores.
This will provide the user with an outlet to save the most money by seeing the cheapest path; be it shopping at one store or multiple stores.
The app will also allow the user to see how much could be saved from buying store brand items vs.
their chosen items.
With the list making option from recipes, the app will also allow the user to see what items they already have with their in-house inventory.
Thus letting the user know (before they get home), if something is needed to prepare a particular meal.
In the future, it may also be a way to cost share or transfer money to accommodate people in need.
There will be help with directions to the chosen outlet of shopping & a method for donations to charitable food banks.
