Forklift Monitoring

Forklifts are one of the most dangerous equipment in the industry and warehousing.
Careless forklift operation can cause accidents with people injuries and property damages.
The application will help to prevent those accidents by monitoring and reporting all minor collisions the forklift may face.
Reports are sent by email using WiFi or GPRS network.
Each report contains 3 photos made straight after the collision was detected.
Additional information includes:
1.
Shake levels by X, Y, Z axis.
2.
Date & time.
3.
Phone battery level.
4.
Display settings
5.
GPS coordinates (if GPS signal available)
6.
Connection details (can be used for approx.
location determination in case GPS not available).
Installation.
Carefully select the place for the phone on the forklift.
It must by firmly attached.
Back camera should be oriented to the most risky direction (the fork direction).
The phone screen accessibility is not mandatory for operation, thus it can be covered.
The phone should be constantly connected to the appropriate charger (check the forklift battery voltage; for 12-24V can use automotive phone charger).
Software.
Application is created using Tasker and its plug-ins, which will be requested to install prior using this application:
- Secure Settings (free)
- Locale SendSilentMail Plug-In (paid).
Operation.
1.
Follow the written and spoken instructions and enter necessary parameters.
2.
Perform the calibration on operating forklift.
Longer calibration - more accurate auto settings.
3.
Levels matrix shows the number of occurrences of particular shake levels detected (combination of X, Y, Z levels).
Review the matrix and remove spikes - levels with number of occurances =1, separated from the arrea of frequent occurrences.
4.
Turn to monitoring mode and leave the forklift to operate alone.
