Singing Bluebird

- Bluebird measures approximately 15 centimeters in length.
The male is entirely dark blue when adult, with the forehead, eyebrows and upper wing coverts bright blue.
The female and immature are brown-brown.
It has sonorous, intense, melodious, fluent and extensive singing that varies in the twilight and at dawn.
It resides atop medium-sized shrubs and trees.
If excited, ruffles the feathers on the head.
It is territorial during the breeding season, with the pair demarcating its area to keep other pairs away and the male singing intermittently to delimit its space.
It makes its nest with dry leaves hidden among the foliage of low shrubs and covers it with roots.
Boot from two to three children and their young are born after 13 days of incubation.
They are cared for by the mother when juveniles and reach sexual maturity at 10 months.
They feed on insects, small berries and grass seeds, preferably green.
