A very simple app with a very specific purpose.
Since searching for a specific app with Google now / search takes too long, even on a S3, and often doesn't find what I'm looking for regarding apps, I decided to create a simple search app that only searches your installed apps.
The first time you start it up it will take some seconds since it searches through all the installed apps.
But after first boot it should have created a local cache so the next time you start it, it should be pretty quick even if you shut it down from the recent apps list and the keyboard should popup ready to search immediately saving you a screen tap.
It starts a background process on each start which starts another scan so your cache should be updated when you remove and install apps.
If apps aren't remove or not shown, give it a few seconds for it to do it's background thing and then restart the app.
Icons are not shown to speed up load and lower memory footprint.
Tested on a Samsung Galaxy S3, but should work on devices running 4.0 and above.

MyAndroid is not a downloader online for App Searcher. It only allows to test online App Searcher with apkid com.exaviore.appsearcher. MyAndroid provides the official Google Play Store to run App Searcher online.
