Welcome to Alberta Wildlife Watch! The Government of Alberta is pleased to introduce this tool for its staff and highway maintenance contractors (assigned Organization ID code required; not intended for the general public) to share wildlife observations across Alberta.
This tool will improve the accuracy of animal-vehicle collision reporting and ultimately help us to better understand the factors leading to motor vehicle-wildlife collisions.
The Alberta Wildlife Watch application provides a more efficient means of reporting, gathers real-time province-wide information into a single database, and performs simple analyses of motor vehicle-wildlife collisions.
These features allow the Government of Alberta to identify motor vehicle-wildlife collision prone locations and respond with solutions in a timely manner.
The wildlife information you provide through Alberta Wildlife Watch will be used by the Government of Alberta to directly improve the safety of both motorists and wildlife across the province.
We encourage you to report your wildlife observations (both carcasses and live animals) and share your photos on Alberta Wildlife Watch.
