Bangla Post became Britains First Bangla newspaper to break into the mainstream newsagents in October 2003.
For the first time, a reader was able to pick up a Bangla newspaper kept beside the national dailies such as The Guardian, FT and The Times to name a few.
It was a milestone, a breakthrough moment in the British Bangla media timeline.
The newspaper was then distributed nationally available for readers to buy on Friday mornings along with mainstream papers.
Similar to many national and local newspapers, Bangla Post has since become a free newspaper distributed via most mosques and traditional Bengali shops.
Bangla Post aims to target the 650,000 British Bangladeshis along with 350,000 Indian Bengalis living in the United Kingdom.
Published on Fridays, Bangla Post is a bilingual (Bangla and English) full colour weekly tabloid.
Bangla Post ensures that besides the first and second generation British Bangladeshis, our target reader base includes the growing new generation of the community.
We attract the younger generation, for they are known to have higher literacy and numeracy skills covering:
Current National and International affairs
Political
Business
Sport
Health
Lifestyle and Entertainment
Bangla Post would like to grow with its readers.

We will be serving as a beacon of truth and a bridge between communities here in Britain, Europe and Bangladesh.
