The AP Redcross blood app is developed by two high school students ,Sai Akshara Vemuri
and Sri Nandan Nandamuri from Andhra Pradesh,India.
This app provides a wonderful platform to users for instant search,donation and live donor
request for blood during emergencies and for the conduction of blood donation camps.
This app consists of four panels namely: Request for blood requirement,Wish to donate
blood,Live donor request and Organizing blood donation camp.
1)Request for blood requirement:
This panel allows users to search/navigate for their nearest redcross blood bank by selecting
their respective district.
Then the user is asked to select their required blood group which prompts the app to
display the details of the available units of blood in the bloodbanks as well as gives it's contact
number which can be used to contact the blood bank.
2)Wish to donate blood:
This panel asks users to fill out a donor form which asks few details such as name of the
donor,phone number, aadhar number,email ID,address,city name and pincode.
The user then has to select the district and his/her blood group as well as if they
are registering for a blood donation camp or not.
3)Live donor request:
This is a unique feature in our app which involves live donor at call for all the emergencies
that require fresh blood instead of stored blood.
The user needs to fill out a live donor
request form and then all the details including a particular component requirement like
whole blood, Plasma,Platelets and PSBC will be sent directly to the Redcross blood banks
which will take the request forward.
4)Organizing blood donation camp:
This panel allows users who wishes to organize a blood donation camp to fill out a form
which contains certain details like district name, organizer name,venue of the camp,date
of camp, approximate units of blood expected,email ID and contact number.
The organizer's request will be automatically forwarded to the Redcross blood bank.
We sincerely hope that our app will fulfill the needs of blood requirement for
all individuals by connecting Redcross blood banks with them.This app can be easily
operated by everyone from their homes itself.
