Proof of vaccination is not required for entry effective March 1, 2022.
Businesses and organizations may choose to check for proof of vaccination and use the Verify Ontario app.
Verify Ontario gives businesses and organizations a quick, easy and secure way to scan and confirm that that a visitors enhanced vaccine certificate with official QR code meets the Ontarios definition of fully vaccinated.
The app scans the QR code on an Ontario government-issued vaccine certificate.
After scanning a QR code, the business or organization will see: a green checkmark screen which means verified, yellow warning screen which means there is a problem, a grey timeout screen which means a QR code could not be read, or a red X screen, which means the vaccine certificate is invalid.

SECURE AND PRIVACY PROTECTING
A verification result displays onscreen for 30 seconds, then is deleted.
The app does not request a users specific location, or collect any information that links specific locations, visitors, or businesses to each other.
To help evaluate and improve the app, only metrics such as total number of scans, and the aggregate number of valid, invalid, or warning results are collected.

INTERNET NOT REQUIRED TO SCAN
The apps scanning feature works without an internet connection.
Verify Ontario will need to periodically connect to the internet to update vaccine or entry requirements.
You can also update manually on the settings and information page.
