Te Kete Ara Matua

Te Kete Ara Matua is an interactive learning resource for Greater Wellington Regional Council staff to support their day to day mahi (work).

The app includes information on the Councils vision, key Mori concepts and values, te reo Mori (language), tikanga (custom) and waiata (songs) to help staff understand more about our unique and shared cultural heritage.

Interactive features within the app include pronunciation of Mori words, maps with Mori names and iwi groups, values (Ng Mtpono), and principles, mihimihi/pepeha (introductions), ng mihi (greetings), poroporoaki (farewells), whakatauk (proverbs), and waiata (songs).

A key feature allows staff to input their own personal information to create a customised pepeha.
