iPhone app BeHere_HKACT!

Augmented Reality app enables to see 3D figures reconstructed from archived photographs in Hong Kong by using Photogrammetry.

With this Augmented Realty app, user can enjoy:

-Visit 10 real locations in Wan Chai, Hong Kong.

-Play with 3D figures reconstructed from the past.

-Compose a scene with the 3D figures in real space.

-Capture a scene for sharing with friends.

This app takes a key role of the public art project HKACT! Act 1 BeHere in Wan Chai, Hong Kong.

HKACT! Act 1 BeHere is an augmented reality public art project by Masaki Fujihata, produced by Osage Art Foundation, commissioned by Design District Hong Kong (#ddHK), presented by Tourism Commission and organized by Hong Kong Design Centre.

BeHere focused on individual peoples snapshots and images of daily life in Hong Kong from 1940s to 1970s.
Actors were then invited to act out perceived scenes and shot by photogrammetry with 70 cameras in 360 degrees to create 3D figures.
These figures are then augmented onto 10 public spaces in Wan Chai from 1 Dec 2018 30 Apr 2019.

BeHere is a platform that encourages the audience to explore their own experience, to retrieve memories of the past, reimagine and create new memories for the future.
They are free to interact with the 3D figures in virtual space, to re-composite the scene between the two realities with their own imagination, and to include their family and friends into the frame.
