Curious Collector

Created as part of the Heritage Lottery Funded Curious Collections project, we are delighted to highlight some of the stranger or lesser known collection items on permanent display at Hull Museums, The Ferens Art Gallery, Hull History Centre and Burton Constable Hall.

Curious Collector takes its inspiration from the Bill Baileys Cabinet of Curiosities exhibition at Hull Maritime Museum and Burton Constables own curious collector, William Constable, who housed his acquisitions in his own personal cabinet of curiosities.
Williams collection is now the only surviving English cabinet of curiosities in its original country house setting.

Visit all of the venues and use the app to collect all of the curios; choose your favourites to create your own digital cabinet of curiosities.
Hull Museums, Ferens Art Gallery and Hull History Centre are all free entry.
Admission fees apply at Burton Constable Hall.
