iPhone app VTEstimator

Bridging the gap between research and practice, VTEstimator app is designed based on an algorithm developed by Parvizi et al.
to stratify total joint arthroplasty (TJA) patients into different risk profiles for development of venous thromboembolism (VTE).
VTE following TJA is devastating complication, feared by both patients and surgeons.
The algorithm, which is developed based on the registry and the institutional data, can be used to assign each patient into the appropriate risk category for VTE and allow administration of the appropriate prophylactic measure,
