Maulana Aashiq Illahi Madani was a prominentIndianIslamic scholar.
He was a disciple ofMuhammad Zakariyya Kandhlawi.
Ashiq Ilahi was born inBulandshahr,United Provinces of British India He graduated fromMazahir Uloomin 1363AH

After completing his education, Ashiq Ilahi taught at various Indianmadrasasand moved toPakistanat the request ofMuhammad Shafi Deobandiin 1384 AHHe taughttafsirandhadithfor twelve years at theDarul Uloom Karachi He later moved toMedinain 1396 AHwhere died in 2002.
