Jazz Saxophone Etudes for Alto Saxophone, Volume 1 features twelve melodic etudes for the advancing jazz saxophonist.
These etudes feature a wide variety of tempos, ranging from a ballad (66 BPM) through medium swing tempos (126 - 168 BPM), all the way up to fast bebop tempos ( from 184 BPM through 264 BPM).
Each etude demonstrates a melodic approach to soloing with authentic jazz vocabulary.
The etudes are catchy, fun to play, and written idiomatically for the saxophone.

The etudes are based on familiar chord progressions, including the blues, rhythm changes, and a variety of common standard 32-bar songs.

Custom User Interface

This application features a customized user interface that makes this application fun and easy to use.
When you launch the application, youll see a menu window that lets you choose to read through the entire contents of Jazz Saxophone Etudes, page by page without the play-along tracks.
All page turns are automatic, and synchronized with the play-along track.

To start playing a sax demo track, simply click on the saxophone icon on the lower left side of the display, and the track will immediately begin to play.

To start playing a rhythm-section-only track, simply click on the drum icon on the lower right side of the display, and the track will immediately begin to play.
