In an effort to strengthen its systems and to safeguard citizens privacy, the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) announced that no entity is allowed to store Aadhaar copies unless the first 8 digits of the Aadhaar number have been masked.
Now, it is not as simple as it sounds.
Collection and storage of Aadhaar copies have been as common to business as is storing mobile no to mobile operators.
