iPhone app Ship Channel Configuratusing MyAndroid.
The purpose of this App is to determine the Depth and Width required in an Inner or Outer Channel for a ship based on its Deepest Draft, Length Overall, and Beam.
The calculations/factors involved are based on PIANC (The World Association for Waterborne Transport Infrastructure) guidelines.
The calculations take into various key factors that include: ships speed, wind, current, waves/swell, nature of channel bottom, channel slope, traffic condition, drift angle and response time.
The App can be used as a preliminary design method to determine the channel configuration (depth and width) for a ship to safely transit the channel with adequate clearances.
A detailed design will subsequently have to be conducted using PIANC guidance to confirm/finalize the results.,
MyAndroid is not a downloader online for Ship Channel Configurator. It only allows to test online Ship Channel Configurator with apkid apple.com.darren.channeldepthwidth. MyAndroid provides the official Google Play Store to run Ship Channel Configurator online.
