Leitmotifs

The composer Richard Wagner has created a gigantic work which normally needs 4 evenings to be performed.
The App presents the typical Leitmotifs with which the composer has woven this opera cycle which is called Der Ring des Nibelungen, in English The Ring of the Nibelung.
The Leitmotifs are listed by name and opera in which they first-time appear.
For each Leitmotif the melody is played on piano.
Some interesting statistics like a ranking show which are the most often played Leitmotifs thruout the complete Ring cycle.
The App is a must for all Wagner enthusiasts.

The motifs were played by German pianist Volker Kolmetz on Steinway piano.
Each Leitmotif is played exactly according to original notes which Julius Burghold already in 1910 had transcribed from Wagners score.
The notes are displayed synchronous to the music.
So, the Wagner friend can follow the music how it is played.
The connoisseur will know what is played, however the layman will wonder.
The music can be played continuously.
In total the playback of all motifs takes about 20 minutes.
