The Moon orbits the Earth about once every 29 & 1/2 days.

With EarthClock, you can see how one calendar compares to another & how well they compare with the cycles of nature & the agricultural biorhythms our calendar units are named after.

Both the Gregorian & Bahai calendars are solar calendars, designed to stay in alignment with the seasonal year.
The Islamic calendar (coming soon) is a lunar calendar that doesnt keep track of the seasonal year.
The Chinese calendar is a lunisolar, agricultural calendar.
