This app is intended to aid people in locating their BUGOUT location in the event of a national emergency.
It will provide the approximate bearing and straight line distance from a known GPS location (your BUGOUT GPS location) to the GPS location to where you are now.
As you move, it will automatically recalculate successive movements in both bearing and straight line distance.
Field tests have shown it to be quite accurate.
However, calculations depend largely upon the accuracy of the smartphones' GPS and the surrounding environmental conditions (weather conditions, cloud cover, etc.).
It is not substitute for a quality compass or compass app and an accurate up to date map.
Rather, it will provide a fairly accurate estimation of the bearing and straight line distance to the BUGOUT if a map and a compass are not available and a smartphone is.
It is of utmost importance for you to memorize the GPS location of your BUGOUT! It was for security reasons that a database was not provided to record this GPS location.
You really don't want everyone to know the GPS location of your BUGOUT, do you? Also, it is important to remember the cardinal compass directions in degrees, i.e.; north=360 or 0 degrees, east=90 degrees, south=180 degrees, and west=270 degrees.
