The app run in the background to monitor if your phone is in a faced up or faced down position.
If it detected that the phone is in a faced down position then all sounds are disabled.
This includes:

All Notifications
3.
All Alarms
4.
All Streaming Audio

In order to turn the sounds on again you just have to flip the phone back in a faced up position.

You can use the app wherever sound disabling is preferred, e.g., company meetings, movie theaters, libraries, classes, go to bed, etc.
The app is easy to use and flipping the phone upside down is much simpler than going into the phone settings to disabling the sounds.
