An empty garden, with a solitary walker.
As you swipe, a field of flowers grow up under your fingertips, spin, and fade away, accompanied by a sound.
You are drawing both plant and audio life, in a hypnotic blend of specialized synaesthesia.

Odd Gardens is an experimental audio / visual experience.

Moving your finger across the screen creates randomly generated flowers from different flora primitives.
There are over a thousand possibile flowers.
The flowers are animated, growing into existance then fading away.

The screen is divided into eight columns.
A different sound is played depending on which column you touch.
Some instruments have eight similar sounds at varying pitches, while some (like the drum kit) have eight unique sounds.
The pitch of the sound varies by where on the Y axis you touch.

In the garden is a girl called the walker.
Touching her as she moves through the garden changes the current instrument - what sound is played on touch.

A unique, mesmerizing toy from the future, for the future.
The beta is currently available for free.
