The contents of this app were originally published in print as: Kayǎn - Engle – Katan Liphlon Atabaotabǎn (2016), by the Kayan Literature and Culture Committee (ကယန်းစာပေနှင့်ယဥ်ကျေးမှုဗဟိုကော်မတီ).


This lexicon gives glosses of Kayan words in English and Myanmar.
You can search the dictionary in any of those languages (providing your phone has the capability).
It is Unicode compliant.
The app now contains Zawgyi font in the entries as well.

The Kayan language is spoken primarily in Myanmar (Burma) in Kayah (Karenni) State, Shan State, Kayin (Karen) State and other areas.
It is also spoken in Thailand and many other countries where Kayan people have gone to live.


Known issues:
-To view the Myanmar text correctly, you must have your phone’s language set to Unicode.
Click on the Zawgyi tab if your phone uses Zawgyi encoding.
-You must uncheck “Match Whole Words” when you search Myanmar text
-Use the newest MultiLing O Keyboard to be able to search Kayan words with diacritic marks
