The biggest medieval festival in Europe.
Hal(o) yeah! In 2013 Landshut celebrates its 40th reenactment.
The Bavarian city brings to life its history and radiating vitality.
This joy culminates in a single word which everybody calls out: HALO.
This word in its original meaning is the magic formula of the festival .We are playing an old game with new instruments.
A puzzle of the senses: shouting , listening, seeing, feeling – and call on you to join our campaign: we are weaving a sound carpet.
Each and every one, participant or visitor, is welcome to join in – with a simple shout of joy: “HALO!” You record it with the HALO-LAHO App on your smartphone and send it off.

Your recording is transformed into a unique HALO-gram.
One pattern follows the other.
Together we create the sound tapestry.
With enough patterns the tapestry materializes.
The sound of the wedding is captured forever in a real textile tapestry woven by an automatic weaving loom.
Every Sunday of the festival a new tapestry is created.
In the fall of 2013 the carpets will be put up for auction for a charitable cause.
