This app is part of the participatory art project Freedom 2.0 (more information at www.freedom.florianmehnert.de) and serves as an interface between the analog and digital world by creating an awareness of the sensitivity of your own data.
The app uses the GPS function of your smartphone to determine your location every 30 seconds and does not access any other information.
The location data is anonymized and encrypted before being sent to our server at http: //www.freiheit.florianmehnert.de.
The app is designed to run in the background and is also designed to use very little battery.
This self-tracking app demonstrates how individual behaviors are obtained from data.
It illustrates that data is traded as a precious resource and how it can be further processed to gather more information.
