Calendars are great! Unlike people, they never forget.
Our app enables your regular calendar to adjust the volume of your phone’s ringer as you specify in an event's description.
Forgetting to mute or restore the ringer's volume is not a problem anymore.
The best part is that you do not need a separate scheduler for your ringer.
Your calendar now remembers to control the volume just as you wish.

In the case you need more, you may want to have a look at more powerful apps similar to Locale or Tasker.
In the case you need something simpler, for just volume control, then apps similar to Shush! may be a right choice for you.

HOW TO USE

Launch the app and click “Start”.
From the list of the events click the one you want to be managed.
Then, using your favorite calendar app (Google, aCalendar, Business Calendar, etc.), add the following line of text anywhere in an event's description (most of it is already in the clipboard, you can simply “paste”):
Ringer Volume: 39%
(the percentage goes from 0%, meaning the phone is completely silenced, to 100%, i.e.
full volume; the pattern is pretty forgiving, "ringer volume= 77" works just as well).

If you want to double-check, go back to the app’s main window and see if the %% you specified show correctly in the events’ list.
After that, you can pretty much forget about the app (at least for few months).
At the beginning and at the end of a volume-set event you will see notifications (you can click on them too).
In the case you change the ringer volume during this event manually the app understands that you have taken control and will not attempt to make any volume changes until the next such event.

PERMISSIONS AND YOUR PRIVACY

Since this app is meant to read your directions related to the calendar events it needs your permission to read your calendar.
However, all the information it reads stays in the memory of your phone.
This app does NOT have permissions to modify your calendar.
The other permissions it requires are necessary so the system could activate the app when needed, just like the system activates your alarm clock in the morning.

MINIMAL CONSUMPTION OF BATTERY AND CPU

This app is not sitting in the memory of your phone all the time but instead the system regularly activates one of its parts for a fraction of a second.
As a result, it consumes very little of your phone's resources.

FREE APP WITH IN-APP "UPGRADE" OPTION

This is a free app.
The only difference between using it for free and buying an "upgrade" is that the starter (non-upgraded) version requires a bit of your help.
It is fairly simple, though.
In 90 days from the launch it stops (for an "oil change" : -) ).
Go to Settings->Apps on your Android device, open this app details and click "Clear data".
Then you can start it again.
Right now it stops every 3 months.
The upgraded version does not require this.
It simply runs until you click "Stop" or reset your device to the factory state.

KNOWN ISSUES

On Android versions prior to 4.0 it is possible that after you proceed from the EULA text to the main window the screen dims and does not react on touches.
If this happens, either rotate the device or hit the "Back" button once.
