Dancing Sondheim (Volume 4 from Dances for an iPhone), created and produced by Richard Daniels, presents an innovative way to look at and disseminate dance on camera.
This App allows the viewer to interactively choose from a collection of 7 short dance movies, shot in available light and in practice clothes, all dancing to the music of Stephen Sondheim.
The dance films, by Richard Daniels with choreography by Richard Daniels and Christopher Caines, and are meant to provide an intimate dance experience.

Dancing Sondheim features 10 dance stars in 7 dance movies and provides access to biographical material about each dancer: Carmen de Lavallade in “Children and Art,” Risa Steinberg and Megan Williams (along with 5-year old Ziva Salan) in "Children Will Listen," Deborah Jowitt in "Every Day a Little Death," Robert la Fosse in "Finishing the Hat," Rebecca Rigert and Brian McGinnis in "Moon in my Window," Janis Brenner in "No One Is Alone," and Jodie Toogood and Melissa Toogood in "Pacific Passages."

These dancers are alumnae of such companies as the American Ballet Theatre, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Jose Limon Dance Company, Lar Lubovitch Dance Company, Alwin Nikolais/Murray Louis Dance Company, New York City Ballet, Joyce Trisler Danscompany, Mark Morris Dance Group, Paradigm, and includes dance writer/critic Deborah Jowitt.
