SquawkLogger is the premiere GPS logging application for General Aviation.
SquawkLogger is used to gather GPS position data including altitude and save it to log files and generates KML files you can import into Google Earth.
This allows a great way to graphically review your mission after your flight.

SquawLogger logs your GPS position, speed, course, and altitude every 20 seconds.
These flight logs are divided up into "missions".
From the log files, SquawkLogger generates KML files that can be imported into Google Earth.
You can have several missions during the day or log your entire day's activities into one mission.
SquawkLogger keeps all GPS data on your phone or tablet.
You do not need internet connectivity or to pay for any subscription service of any sort.
When you start SquawkLogger it selects the next or first mission number for the day.
When you are ready to start logging hit the big "start logging" button.
You can start and stop logging any time.
You can run other programs and leave SquawkLogger running in the background.
If you exit out of SquawkLogger a new mission is started when you restart.
When you exit or start a new mission SquawkLogger generates a KML files for the latest mission.
KML files are always current.
In the settings menu you can re-create KML files for all missions for a selected day.
This should be rarely needed as SquawkLogger keeps KML files current.
